Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit and Relaxation
The upper age limit for all posts under this recruitment is 56 years. Age relaxation provisions are available for specific categories as per government norms:
- Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) with a minimum of 40% disability will receive a 10-year relaxation in the upper age limit.
- Ex-Servicemen will be granted age relaxation as per Government of India orders.
- Age relaxation for reserved and departmental candidates will be considered as per applicable rules.
The crucial date for determining age, educational qualifications, and experience will be the last date of receipt of the application.
Application Fee and Payment Method
Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable application fee based on their category. The fee structure is as follows:

Selection Process
The selection process for NIT Warangal Recruitment 2026 will involve multiple stages, primarily based on performance in an interview. The tentative method of selection is outlined below:
- Shortlisting of Candidates: Applications will be screened based on eligibility criteria, including qualifications and experience. The Institute reserves the right to set higher standards for shortlisting.

Pay Scale and Benefits
Selected candidates will receive emoluments as per the 7th Central Pay Matrix, along with Dearness Allowance (DA) and other allowances admissible to Central Government Employees posted in Warangal/Hanumakonda.
- Principal Scientific/Technical Officer & Principal Students Activity & Sports Officer: Minimum pay of Rs.1,44,200/- in Level 14.
- Senior Technical Officer: Minimum pay of Rs.78,800/- in Level 12.
- Assistant Registrar: Minimum pay of Rs.56,100/- in Level 10.
In addition to the pay and allowances, employees posted at NIT Warangal are entitled to various facilities, including:
- Reimbursement of Children Education Allowance as per Central Government Rules.
- Reimbursement of Medical expenses, including referrals to specialized hospitals for OP/IP, for themselves and their dependent family members.

Candidates applying for Direct Recruitment who are currently working under Central/State Government, PSUs, or Autonomous Bodies must furnish a "NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE" at the time of Certificate Verification/Interview.
Candidates applying for Deputation (ISTC) must route a self-attested hard copy of their online application, along with certified copies of APARs for the last 5 years, a Vigilance Clearance Certificate, and a No Objection Certificate, through the proper channel to "The Registrar, National Institute of Technology, Warangal – 506004" within 30 days from the closing date of online applications (i.e., by September 18, 2026).
