It is mandatory that the ME/M.Tech/MS/M.Sc./BE/B.Tech/BSc/BS-MS qualification for each post must have been completed within the stipulated duration of the course as prescribed by the University. Degrees from foreign universities require an equivalency certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi. Candidates who completed professional courses through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) are not eligible.
Age Limit and Relaxation
The upper age limit for all Scientist/Engineer 'SD' posts (Post Code 01-06) is 35 years as of August 30, 2026. Age relaxation will be provided as per extant Government of India rules for serving Central Government employees, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBDs), and Ex-Servicemen.

The gross monthly emoluments will be approximately Rs. 67,700/- plus other allowances. Employees will be governed by the National Pension System/Unified Pension Scheme and will also be eligible for medical facilities, subsidized canteen, quarters (in lieu of HRA), Leave Travel Concession, Group Insurance, and House Building Advance.
