Note on PwBD reservation: PwBD reservation for Graduate Apprentice and Data Entry Operator (Fresher & Skill Certificate Holders) disciplines is applied horizontally. PwBD candidates are not eligible for Discipline Codes 101–111 (Technician and ITI Trade categories) due to the hazardous nature of the industry.

• Candidates with higher professional qualifications (B.E., MBA, MCA, CA, ICWA, LLB, etc.) are not eligible.
• Those with one year or more of job experience after acquiring the qualification are not eligible.
• Only one discipline code can be applied for; multiple applications will lead to rejection.
• Candidates who have completed five years in the relevant discipline after acquiring the prescribed qualification (as on 31.08.2026) are not eligible.

IOCL Apprentice Selection Process

1. Merit List Preparation — A merit list will be generated based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination for the chosen discipline.
2. Tie-Breaking Rule — In case of a tie in marks, candidates with an earlier date of birth will be preferred. If dates of birth are also identical, higher matriculation marks will be considered.
3. Document Verification (DV) — Shortlisted candidates will be invited for document verification.
4. Medical Fitness Test — Successful candidates in DV must undergo and clear a pre-engagement medical fitness test as per IOCL's standards. Up to ₹3,000 will be reimbursed for medical test expenses upon producing receipts.
5. Offer of Engagement — Final offers will be extended to candidates who successfully complete both document verification and the medical fitness test.

Documents Required for Verification

• Class X mark sheet/certificate (for date of birth proof).
• Latest caste certificate (if applicable) in the Government-prescribed format.
• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) certificate (issued on or after 01 September 2025, for OBC-NCL candidates).
• Certificate from the institute confirming regular full-time course completion and year of passing.
• Semester/year-wise mark sheets of ITI/HSC/Graduation/Diploma.
• Final ITI/HSC/Graduation/Diploma certificate.
• Copy of Aadhaar-seeded bank passbook (first page), Aadhaar card, PAN card, and a cancelled cheque leaf.
• Pre-engagement medical fitness certificate.

How to Apply for IOCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026

1. Portal Registration — Register as an apprentice on the relevant portal:
   • Trade Apprentice (ITI) & Trade Apprentice-Data Entry Operator: NAPS portal (apprenticeshipindia.gov.in)
   • Technician Apprentice (Diploma) & Graduate Apprentice: NATS portal (nats.education.gov.in)
   Ensure your profile is 100% complete and accurate on the respective portal.
2. Apply on Portal — Log in to the NAPS/NATS portal and apply for the opportunity using IOCL (MD)-Northern Region's Establishment ID (NATS – NDLSDC000005; NAPS – E05200700003).
3. Microsoft Office Form Submission — After applying on NAPS/NATS, compulsorily submit your details, preferred state, and three preferred locations via the Microsoft Office Form: forms.cloud.microsoft/r/pw7D2cUK7c. Only one submission per candidate is allowed for this form.

It is crucial to apply for only ONE discipline code. Applications for more than one code will result in summary rejection.

Important Instructions for Applicants

• Maintain a valid and active email ID and mobile number for at least one year for all official communications.
• Ensure you have a PAN card, Aadhaar card, and an active, Aadhaar-seeded bank account with DBT enabled, matching the details on the NATS portal.
• Candidates applying for unreserved seats must meet the general category standards.
• The apprenticeship period is 12 months, and IOCL is not obligated to offer permanent employment upon completion.
• Candidature is provisional and subject to verification; any discrepancies can lead to termination.
