Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification: Applicants must be pursuing a full-time Graduate (Engineering) or Post Graduate in Engineering or Physical Science from a recognized Indian University/institute.
• Academic Record: A good academic track record is essential, with a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent CGPA in their pursuing Graduate Engineering / Postgraduate (Engineering/Physical Science) from AICTE/UGC approved Universities.
• Age Limit: Candidates must be below 28 years of age.

Stipend and Payment Details

• The stipend is applicable only if the student maintains good performance and completes a minimum of 15 working days of physical attendance per month at DRDL/ASL/CAS.
• Payment will be made in two installments, with the first installment disbursed after three months of training/internship.
• No payment will be made if a student does not complete a tenure of minimum three months.

Selection Procedure

How to Apply for DRDO DRDL Internship 2026

2. Walk-in Submission (for Interview): During the walk-in for the interview (after shortlisting), candidates must submit their physical applications in envelopes at the registration desk. Clearly write "Application for Paid Internship" and the "Branch Code" on the envelope for easy segregation.
3. Referral Letter: A referral letter from the Principal/Director of their College/Institute is mandatory.

Key Conditions and Guidelines

• No Employment Guarantee: The laboratory (DRDL/ASL/CAS) has no obligation to offer employment to interns, and interns cannot claim a right to employment based on completing this internship.
• Accommodation: No boarding or lodging expenses are admissible. Selected candidates can avail lunch, tea, and snacks at subsidized rates from the DRDL/ASL/CAS wet-canteen.
• Conduct: Interns must adhere to the Indian Official Secrets Act, 1923, and IT rules and regulations applicable to the Ministry of Defence.
• Injuries: The laboratory will not be responsible for any injuries sustained during the internship period.
• Incomplete Tenure: If a student is unable to complete the internship or leaves mid-program, a Certificate of Completion will not be issued, and no payment will be made if the tenure is less than three months.
• Self-Arrangement: Candidates are responsible for their own stay and transport in Hyderabad and should plan accordingly, especially if multiple days are required for walk-in interviews.

Documents Required at the Time of Joining

• No Objection Certificate (NOC) from college authorities (original, on college letterhead) stating the student will be relieved for the internship and will be present for a minimum of 15 working days per month.
• Police verification certificate from a local police station (acknowledgement to be submitted at joining).
• Undertaking for adherence to the Indian Official Secrets Act, 1923.
• Undertaking to follow IT rules and regulations applicable to the Ministry of Defence.
• Bank details for stipend transfer.
• Medical fitness certificate from an authorized medical practitioner (MBBS degree holder).
• Original Aadhar card and college ID card for verification.
• Three passport-size photographs.
• Original marks sheets of all previous semesters for on-the-spot verification (documents will be returned immediately).
• Indemnity form (to be provided by the college as and when required by DRDL/ASL/CAS).
