Eligibility Criteria and Qualifications

Training and Placement Officer (TPO)

• Educational Qualification: A full-time Master's Degree from a reputed university is required. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree may be considered if they possess exceptional talent, extensive industry experience, and a strong professional network.
• Essential Experience: Applicants should have at least 3 years of relevant experience as a TPO in a reputed Technical Institute with a proven track record, or possess significant experience in a multi-industry setting with a vast industry network.
• Desirable Experience: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, ability to build and maintain industry relationships, proficiency in MS Office Suite and database management, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are highly desirable.

Placement Executive

• Educational Qualification: A Master's Degree or Bachelor's Degree from a reputed Institute/University is required.
• Essential Experience: Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in a corporate organization or an educational Institute/University.
• Desirable Experience: Strong communication and negotiation skills, ability to build and sustain industry partnerships, proficiency in MS Office Suite and database management, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are preferred.

Selection Process

1. Skill Test/Interview: The Institute or Selection Committee will conduct a skill test, interview, or any other mode of assessment as deemed appropriate.
2. In-Person Appearance: Applicants are required to attend the selection process in person at IIT Dharwad.
3. Tentative Dates: The selection process for the Training and Placement Officer is tentatively scheduled for August 24, 2026, and for the Placement Executive on August 25, 2026.
4. Medical Fitness: Final appointment is contingent upon the selected applicant being found medically fit as per the Institute's requirements.
