UPSC CDS II 2025 Final Result Declared

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the final results for the Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2025. This declaration, made through the Press Information Bureau (PIB) on 07 August 2026, includes the merit list of candidates who have successfully qualified for the Officers Training Academy (OTA) courses.

Result Summary for OTA Courses

A total of 483 candidates have been recommended for the Officers Training Academy courses based on their performance in the examination and subsequent interviews conducted by the Services Selection Board (SSB) of the Ministry of Defence.

• Total Qualified Candidates: 483
• OTA (Men) Qualified: 455 candidates
• OTA (Women) Qualified: 28 candidates

The list for the 124th Short Service Commission Course (NT) (UPSC) (Men) also includes candidates previously recommended for admission to the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), and Air Force Academy (AFA) from the same examination.

The qualified candidates are recommended for admission to the following courses, commencing in October 2026:

• Officers Training Academy, Chennai (Madras), 124th Short Service Commission Course (Men) (NT) (UPSC)
• Officers Training Academy, Chennai (Madras), 124th Short Service Commission Women (NT) (UPSC) Course

The Government had intimated the following number of vacancies for these courses:

• 124th Short Service Commission (Men) (NT) (UPSC) Course: 276 vacancies
• 124th Short Service Commission Women (NT) (UPSC) Course: 19 vacancies

Important Notes for Qualified Candidates

Candidates should be aware of the following crucial points regarding their provisional candidature:

• Medical Examination: The results of the medical examination have not been considered in preparing this merit list.
• Provisional Candidature: All candidatures are provisional.
• Verification: Verification of Date of Birth and Educational Qualification will be conducted by Army Head Quarters.

Accessing Candidate Marks

The marks obtained by the candidates will be made available on the Union Public Service Commission's official website within 15 days from the date of the final result declaration (07 August 2026). These marks will remain accessible on the website for a period of 30 days.

Candidates who were not recommended are encouraged to review the "DISCLOSURE OF SCORES AND OTHER DETAILS OF NON-RECOMMENDED CANDIDATES" scheme available on the UPSC website. Such candidates have the option to exercise their choices while downloading their marks.
