Selection Process and Preference Order

1. First preference is given to a widow woman from a Below Poverty Line (BPL) family residing in that gram sabha/ward.
2. Next, a legally divorced or deserted woman from a BPL family in the same area is considered.
3. If the above categories yield no eligible candidates, other women from BPL families in that gram sabha/ward are considered.
4. Should no eligible candidates be found in any BPL category, the same order of preference (widow, divorced/deserted, other women) is applied to Above Poverty Line (APL) families in the gram sabha/ward.

If no eligible candidate is available within the gram sabha under any category, selection will be made category-wise from within the concerned Nyaya Panchayat. Valid death certificates and family register copies are required for widow candidates, while legal court orders are necessary for divorced/deserted women.

Income and Caste Certificate Guidelines

• Only income certificates issued as per UP Government Revenue Section-9 order No. 3959/1-9-11-Ra0-9, dated 30.09.2011, and verifiable online, will be accepted.
• The annual income limit for BPL candidates is ₹46,080 for rural areas and ₹56,460 for urban areas, as per Social Welfare Section-2 order No. 22/2015/2123/26-2-2015, dated 14 September 2015.
• Income certificates must be valid on the application deadline and issued within three years of the notification date. Older BPL certificates will be treated as APL.
• Residence and caste certificates must be issued through the Tehsil's online digital-signature system and be verifiable online.
