The International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS), an autonomous institute under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, has released a recruitment notification for various Consultant and Legal Advisor positions. This IIPS Consultant Recruitment 2026 aims to fill 5 posts on a contract/nomination basis, primarily targeting retired Central Government employees or professionals with relevant expertise. Eligibility Criteria and Qualifications

Candidates must meet the specific educational qualifications and experience requirements for each post as detailed below:

Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience in procurement, inventory management, stores, or warehouse administration. Experience in government organizations, public sector undertakings, autonomous bodies, or reputed private organizations is desirable. Experience in maintaining stock records and handling procurement documentation.
Consultant (Director's Office)	Retired Central Government Employee/Professional	Ability to coordinate meetings, handle confidential matters, liaise with government bodies, and supervise staff.
Consultant (NIDP)	Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institution.	Minimum 10 years' experience in planning, execution, supervision, maintenance, and monitoring of civil works/projects, preferably in Government, Autonomous Bodies, PSUs, or reputed organizations. Proven expertise in NIDP-related works/projects.
Legal Advisor	Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized university. Enrolment with the Bar Council of India/State Bar Council and a valid Certificate of Practice. A Master's Degree in Law (LL.M.) will be an added advantage.	Minimum 7-10 years of post-qualification experience in legal practice. Experience in handling litigation, arbitration, service matters, disciplinary proceedings, and contractual disputes. Experience in representing or advising Government Departments, Autonomous Bodies, Educational Institutions, Public Sector Undertakings, or Statutory Bodies is desirable. Proven experience of appearing before courts, tribunals, and quasi-judicial authorities.

Age Limit

The age criteria for these consultant positions vary by role. For the Legal Advisor post, candidates must not be more than 65 years old. For the other Consultant positions, the age limit is determined by the recruitment policy for retired employees, implying that applicants should be individuals who have retired from Central Government service or similar professional roles.
