Eligibility Criteria and Educational Qualifications

Age Limit and Relaxation

The age of candidates will be calculated as of 01 July 2026.

Ex-Servicemen	A relaxation of 3 years in the maximum age limit is permissible after deducting their total service period from their actual age. Candidates must be discharged from the Army by the last date of application.

Only permanent residents (domicile) of Uttar Pradesh are eligible for reservation benefits. Certificates must be issued by the competent authority in the prescribed format and be valid up to the last date of application. OBC and EWS certificates must be issued on or after 01 April 2026.

Selection Process for Staff Nurse

The question paper will be bilingual (English and Hindi), with the English version considered final in case of any discrepancy. * Question Distribution: 80% of questions will be based on theoretical nursing knowledge, and 20% will cover practical nursing knowledge. * Negative Marking: There will be a negative marking of 1/4th (0.25) mark for each incorrect answer. No marks will be deducted for unanswered questions. * Minimum Qualifying Marks: * General, EWS, OBC categories: 40% * SC, ST categories: 35% * Tie-Breaking Rule: In case two or more candidates secure equal marks, the older candidate (based on date of birth) will be given higher priority in the merit list.
