Option B: A Ph.D. degree obtained from a foreign university/institution with a ranking among the top 500 in the World University Ranking (at any time) by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), Times Higher Education (THE), or Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) of Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

A relaxation of 5% in marks at both Bachelor's and Master's levels will be provided for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC - Non-Creamy Layer), and Differently-Abled categories.
