Important Instructions for Candidates

Candidates appearing for the examination must adhere to the following instructions:
  • Penalty for Wrong Answers: For each question, there will be four alternatives. If a candidate provides a wrong answer, one-fourth (1/4th) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty.
  • Multiple Answers: If more than one answer is given for a question, it will be treated as a wrong answer, even if one of the given answers is correct, and the same penalty will apply.
  • Unanswered Questions: No penalty will be imposed for questions left blank (i.e., no answer is given).
  • OMR Answer Sheet: Answers must be encoded on the OMR Answer Sheet using a Black Ball Point Pen only.
  • Compensatory Time for PwBD: Persons with benchmark disabilities will be granted "Compensatory time" of 20 minutes per hour of examination.
  • Scribe Facility for PwBD: Candidates with benchmark disabilities intending to avail a scribe facility must inform the Commission at least 7 (seven) days prior to the commencement of the examination. This is in accordance with Office Memorandum of Government of India F. No.34-02/2015-DD-III, dated 29th August, 2018.
  • Admit Card: The Provisional Admission Certificate will be available in the candidates' Registration ID at least 7 (seven) days prior to the examination.
  • Provisional Answer Key: The provisional answer key for the written examination will be uploaded on the TPSC website within 1 (one) month of the examination's completion.

General Instructions

Candidates must observe the following rules during the examination:
  • Banned Items: Mobile phones, electronic gadgets, etc., are strictly prohibited within the Examination Premises/Interview Premises. Any candidate found in possession of such items will have them confiscated, and the candidate may be debarred from appearing in current and future examinations/interviews conducted by the Commission. Violation of this instruction will be dealt with as per law.
  • Dress Code: Entry into the Examination hall/Interview Premises with face masks, jackets, coats, caps, mufflers, scarves, pullovers, and similar garments will not be permitted.
