About the Recruitment

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following minimum educational qualifications and other requirements:
- Category – I Graduate Apprentices: A Degree in Engineering or Technology (Regular – Full time) with First Class, granted by a Statutory University, an institution empowered by an Act of Parliament, or a professional body recognized as equivalent by the State/Central Government.
- Category – II Technician (Diploma) Apprentices: A Diploma in Engineering or Technology (Regular – Full time), granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Education, a University, or an institution recognized as equivalent by the State/Central Government.
- Category – III Non-Engineering Graduate Apprentices: A Degree in Arts/Science/Commerce/Humanities (such as BA/B.Sc./B.Com/BBA/BBM/BCA etc.) (Regular – Full time), granted by a Statutory University or Deemed University (UGC approved).
- Passing Year: Candidates must have passed their qualifying examination during 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, or May 2026.
- Previous Training/Experience: Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship under the Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973, or have one year or more of experience, are NOT ELIGIBLE to apply.
- Mandatory Mark Entry: It is compulsory for candidates to enter their percentage of marks or CGPAx10 in the NATS portal. Applications without this information will not be considered.
Age Limit and Relaxation
The age limit for applicants will be determined as per the prevailing Apprenticeship Rules. Specific age ranges or relaxation details for different categories are not provided in this notification.

Selection Process
The selection of candidates for the apprenticeship training will involve the following stages:
- Shortlisting: The Board of Apprenticeship Training (SR) will prepare a shortlist of candidates based on the percentage of marks obtained in their basic prescribed qualification.
- Intimation: Shortlisted candidates will be informed through their registered Email ID.
- Certificate Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be required to appear for certificate verification at the TNSTC, Trichy Region office.
Guidelines under the Apprentices Act regarding reservation for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PwD categories will be followed. Candidates claiming reservation must provide a certificate in the Government standard format.
Pay Scale and Benefits
Apprentices selected for training will receive a monthly stipend as follows:
- Graduate Apprentices (Engineering and Non-Engineering): Rs. 12,300/- per month.
- Diploma (Technician) Apprentices: Rs. 10,900/- per month.
The duration of the apprenticeship training will be for a period of one year, as per the Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973. Upon completion of the training, TNSTC Corporations have no obligation to offer employment, and apprentices cannot claim a right to employment.

For Students Already Enrolled in the Old National Web Portal (Category 'A'):
- Step 1 (Password Reset/Activation):
- Visit https://nats.education.gov.in.
- Click "Student", then "Student login".
- Click "Forgot Password".
- Enter your Registered email ID to receive an activation link and reset your password.
- Step 2 (Application Form):
- Log in with your registered email ID and new password.
- Complete the application form.
- A unique 12-digit Enrollment number will be generated.
- For Applying Against Vacancies:
- Log in with your email ID and new password.
- Go to "Apply against advertised vacancies".
