Eligibility Criteria for PAU Research Posts

Research Associate Eligibility

• Educational Qualification: Applicants must hold a B.Sc. in Agriculture/ Biotechnology/ Biosciences with a minimum OCPA of 6.00/10.00 or 60% marks. Additionally, an M.Sc. in Agriculture/ Biotechnology/ Biosciences with a minimum OCPA of 6.50/10.00 or 65% marks is required. Candidates with a Ph.D. degree in the discipline required at the Master's level are also eligible.
• Experience: A minimum of two years of post-M.Sc. research or teaching experience is mandatory.
• Desirable Skills: Preference will be given to candidates with experience in rice crop/field practices and activities, plant tissue culture techniques, bioinformatics, or data handling.

Junior Research Fellow Eligibility

• Educational Qualification: Candidates should have a B.Sc. in Agriculture/ Biotechnology/ Biosciences with a minimum OCPA of 6.00/10.00 or 60% marks. An M.Sc. degree in Agriculture/ Biotechnology/ Biosciences with a minimum OCPA of 6.50/10.00 or 65% marks is also required. Ph.D. degree holders in the Master's level discipline are eligible.
• Experience & National Level Test: At least two years of post-M.Sc. research or teaching experience is necessary. Applicants must have passed a national-level eligibility test such as GATE, CSIR-UGC_NET, ARS-NET, or DBT-BET (Ph.D. candidates are exempt from this requirement).
• Desirable Skills: Experience with rice crop/field practices and activities, plant tissue culture techniques, bioinformatics, or data handling is preferred.

Salary and Stipend

• Research Associate: Rs. 47,000/- + 16% HRA
• Junior Research Fellow: Rs 37,000/- + 16% HRA
• Junior Research Fellow (non-NET): Rs. 30,000 + 16% HRA

PAU Selection Process
