Key duties include contacting farmers, apprising them of departmental activities, collecting information on problems and needs, and preparing consolidated reports on proposed works. They submit these reports monthly to the DSCO for scheme implementation and suggestions for improvement. Rangers also report on work progress, difficulties faced during scheme implementation, and provide suggestions for improvement to the DSCO. They serve as the reporting authority for Annual Confidential Reports (ACRs) for all field staff placed under them.
