Educational Qualification

Work Experience

• Retired Government Employees: Applicants who are retired Central/State Government employees, Retired PSU employees, or Retired IIT employees at Level 11 or above (equivalent to Deputy Director or above) may be considered, provided they demonstrate a strong understanding of handling legal matters.
• Private/Consultancy Sector Professionals: Individuals from Non-Government, Private, Consultancy Firms, or Multinational Organizations must have a minimum of 05 years of post-qualification experience and be familiar with court procedures.
• Legal Professionals: Officers or individuals with adequate experience of working in different Courts or Legal Firms for at least 05 years, with familiarity in court procedures, will also be considered.

• In-depth knowledge of legal systems and structures.
• Strong understanding and experience in all aspects of relevant legal areas.
• Proficiency in business management, leadership, and strategic legal approaches.
• Commercial awareness and ability to act in IWAI's best interests.
• Strong understanding of property rights and laws, contract negotiations, corporate law, and real estate law, including construction.
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
• Sound understanding of legal ethics.
• Skills in building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Age Limit

Remuneration and Allowances

• For Retired Central/State Government/PSU/IIT Employees: Remuneration will be calculated as the last pay drawn minus pension, plus any entitled allowances.
• For Retired IDA Employees: Re-engaged Specialists will receive monthly remuneration at 50% of the Basic Pay drawn (if no pension is drawn) or last basic pay minus pension (if pension is drawn).
• For Non-Government/Private/Consultancy Firms/Multinational Organizations: A fixed salary ranging from INR 70,000 to INR 90,000 per month will be offered.

Terms of Engagement

• The engagement is for a fixed period, initially one year, extendable annually based on satisfactory performance.
• The position is full-time, and engaged individuals are not permitted to take up any other assignment during their tenure with IWAI.
• Working hours are from 09:30 AM to 06:00 PM at IWAI, Head Office Noida (05 days a week), including a half-hour lunch break. Specialists may be required to attend office on holidays if work exigencies demand.
• Leave entitlement is 18 days per calendar year on a pro-rata basis. Unavailed leave cannot be carried forward. Leave beyond 5 days requires approval from the Wing Head.
• No TA/DA is admissible for joining or completing the assignment. Foreign travel at Government expense is not allowed. However, official tours within India will entitle the Specialist to TA/DA at rates admissible to a Level-10 official of IWAI.

Termination of Agreement

• Inability of the Specialist to perform assigned works satisfactorily.
• Quality of work not meeting departmental standards.
• Failure to achieve timely milestones.
• Change in the requirement for the Specialist based on work volume.
• Specialist found lacking in honesty and integrity.
• A 30-day notice will be given for normal terminations. Immediate termination and legal action will occur in cases of conflict of interest or lack of integrity.
