Vacancy Details

IISER Pune is recruiting for the following research position:

• Research Associate: 1 Post

The selected candidate will work on the project titled "Towards exciton-based valleytronic technologies using 2D semiconductor/magnet heterostructures: high-performance magneto-optics and magneto-ellipsometry investigations," funded by the Scheme for Transformational and Advanced Research in Sciences (STARS) under the Ministry of Education.

Eligibility Criteria and Qualifications

Candidates must meet the specific educational qualifications and experience requirements for the Research Associate post:

The prescribed educational qualifications must be obtained from recognized Universities or Institutions.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit for candidates applying for the Research Associate position is 35 years as of the walk-in interview date. Age relaxation may be considered for candidates with higher qualifications and experience, subject to the prior approval of the competent authority.

Salary and Tenure

The selected Research Associate will receive a consolidated monthly emolument of Rs. 47,000/-, along with a 24% House Rent Allowance (HRA). The appointment is temporary and contractual, initially for a period up to March 31, 2027. This tenure is extendable for a further period, contingent upon the continuation of the project and satisfactory performance of the incumbent.

Selection Process

The selection process for the Research Associate position will be conducted through a walk-in interview. Candidates who fulfill the advertised criteria are eligible to participate. If a large number of applications are received, the Project Investigator may restrict the number of candidates called for the interview based on higher qualifications and experience.

Interested and eligible candidates must confirm their participation by sending an email to phy_app@iiserpune.ac.in. On the day of the walk-in interview, applicants are required to bring the following documents:

1. A duly filled prescribed application form, which can be downloaded from the 'Apply Now' link available on the IISER Pune website below the advertisement.
2. All original documents and one set of self-attested photocopies of:
   • Certificate regarding date of birth.
   • Mark sheets and certificates (starting from 10th standard onwards) for all educational qualifications.
   • All certificates related to experience mentioned in the application form.
   • One government-issued Photo Identity proof.
3. One recent passport-size color photograph.

Candidates reporting after 02:30 PM on the interview day will not be considered for the selection process. No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the interview.

• Appointed individuals will have no claim for permanent appointment or absorption in the Funding Agency or IISER Pune.

• Experience requirements may be relaxed for suitable candidates with prior approval from the competent authority.
• If a selected candidate does not join or resigns, waitlisted candidates may be offered the position.
