Vacancy Details

Eligibility Criteria

• Nationality: Only Indian Nationals are eligible.
• Educational Qualification: Applicants must possess the educational qualifications as listed in the vacancy table from a recognized Board/University.
• Year of Passing: Candidates must have passed their qualifying examination in the last five years (2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026).
• Result Declaration: Results of the qualifying examination must be declared and available by the last date of application submission.
• Higher Qualification: Candidates with qualifications higher than those specified are not eligible.
• Regular Candidature: Only those who completed their qualifying examination as regular candidates are eligible.
• Prior Training/Experience: Candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship training, are currently undergoing it, or have one year or more of job experience after attaining the essential qualification are not eligible.
• CGPA Conversion: If marks are in CGPA, candidates must convert it to a percentage as per their university norms. The conversion formula for cases where no specific formula is mentioned is: Percentage of Marks = CGPA X 9.5.

1. NATS 2.0 Registration: Degree candidates must first register on the NATS 2.0 portal.
2. Offline Application: After NATS registration, candidates need to download and fill out the application form available on the official DRDO website: https://drdo.gov.in/drdo/en/offerings/vacancies.

Documents Required

For Application & Document Verification:

• Printout of the ink-signed application form.
• Signed copy of the NATS 2.0 profile.
• Original or provisional mark sheets and certificates from 10th standard up to the minimum educational qualification (12th / B.Sc. / B.E. / B.Tech. / BLIS / B.Com / B.A. / BBA).
• Aadhaar Card/Photo ID Proof and Address Proof.
• Two recent passport-sized colour photographs (6x7).
• Caste certificates (SC/ST/OBC non-creamy layer), PwBD, and EWS certificates, if applicable, issued by a competent authority.

At the Time of Joining:

• Valid Police Verification certificate from the last residence and permanent address.
• "Certificate of Physical Fitness" in the prescribed format, issued by an authorized Medical Officer of any Government Hospital.
• Undertaking for adherence to the Indian Official Secret Act, 1923.
• Undertaking to follow IT Rules & Regulations applicable for the Ministry of Defence.
• Aadhaar-seeded bank account details for DBT Stipend (Pass Book Front Page / Cancelled Cheque).
• Three recent passport-sized colour photographs.

Selection Procedure

Important Instructions

• The training period for selected apprentices will be one year, commencing from the date of execution of the apprenticeship contract.
• No permanent, temporary, or contractual employment is offered at HEMRL or DRDO upon completion of the apprenticeship training. Apprentices cannot claim employment.
• No TA/DA, accommodation, transport, or medical facilities will be provided to applicants for any stage of the selection process or during the training period.
• Selected candidates must abide by the rules and regulations framed by the administration from time to time.
• If a candidate fails to report by the scheduled date, it will be assumed they are not interested, and their candidature may be forfeited without further communication.
• Any false declaration or submission of forged/fake documents will lead to immediate disqualification/cancellation of candidature.
