Eligibility Criteria for Empanelment
Candidates applying for empanelment as Advocates must meet the following criteria as on 01.07.2026:
Educational Qualification: Applicants must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Law from a recognized University in India.
Bar Council Registration: Candidates must be enrolled/registered as an advocate with the Bar Council of India or a State Bar Council.
Experience Requirements:
High Court: Minimum 10 years of professional/court practice experience in High Court(s).
EI Court: Minimum 5 years of professional/court practice experience in various Courts/Tribunals.
CAT and Various Other Courts/Tribunals: Minimum 10 years of professional/court practice experience in High Court, CAT, and various other Courts/Tribunals.
MM Court: Minimum 5 years of professional/court practice experience in various Courts/Tribunals.
The Regional Director, RO-Maharashtra, reserves the right to relax experience or prescribe additional qualifications/conditions as deemed fit.

Terms and Conditions for Empanelment
Empanelment confers a right to be considered for legal work but does not guarantee work allocation.
Case allocation is at the sole discretion of authorized ESIC officers.
Empanelled advocates must not delegate cases and are expected to handle them personally.
Strict confidentiality of cases and information must be maintained.
Advocates must not use ESIC's name, logo, or symbol on their letterhead or represent themselves as "Legal Advisor of ESIC" unless specifically authorized.
Timely appearance in court and reporting of proceedings with orders is mandatory.
Refusal to take up a matter without proper justification may lead to de-empanelment.
Performance of empanelled advocates will be periodically reviewed.
