Eligibility Criteria for Empanelment

• Educational Qualification: Applicants must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Law from a recognized University in India.
• Bar Council Registration: Candidates must be enrolled/registered as an advocate with the Bar Council of India or a State Bar Council.
• Experience Requirements:
  • High Court: Minimum 10 years of professional/court practice experience in High Court(s).
  • EI Court: Minimum 5 years of professional/court practice experience in various Courts/Tribunals.
  • CAT and Various Other Courts/Tribunals: Minimum 10 years of professional/court practice experience in High Court, CAT, and various other Courts/Tribunals.
  • MM Court: Minimum 5 years of professional/court practice experience in various Courts/Tribunals.
• The Regional Director, RO-Maharashtra, reserves the right to relax experience or prescribe additional qualifications/conditions as deemed fit.

1. Download the application form: Applicants can find the prescribed application format (Annexure-II for fresh applicants or Annexure-III for existing panel advocates) on the ESIC website: https://romaharashtra.esic.gov.in/ under the 'recruitment list' section.
2. Fill the form: Complete the application form accurately with all required personal, educational, and experience details.
3. Gather documents: Attach self-certified copies of all necessary supporting documents as listed below.
4. Address the application: Super-scribe the envelope with "Application for the Empanelment of Advocates for Hon'ble High Court of Bombay/ Hon'ble EI Court/Hon'ble CAT Mumbai Bench/ Hon'ble MM Court/Various other Courts in the State of Maharashtra".
5. Send the application: Submit the application along with all supporting documents to the following address:

Advocates currently on the ESIC RO-Maharashtra panel must also apply afresh to be considered for the new panel.

Documents Required for Application

• Law Degree and other educational qualifications.
• Registration Certificate issued by the Bar Council.
• Identity Card issued by the Bar Association.
• ID Proof (e.g., Aadhaar Card, PAN Card).
• Copies of Empanelment Letters from other Authorities/entities (if applicable).
• Resume detailing experience, background, education, list of clients, and nature of cases handled.
• Two recent colour passport-size photographs.
• Income Tax Returns for the last two financial years.
• Undertaking and declaration regarding conflict of interest.

Terms and Conditions for Empanelment

• Empanelment confers a right to be considered for legal work but does not guarantee work allocation.
• Case allocation is at the sole discretion of authorized ESIC officers.
• Empanelled advocates must not delegate cases and are expected to handle them personally.
• Strict confidentiality of cases and information must be maintained.
• Advocates must not use ESIC's name, logo, or symbol on their letterhead or represent themselves as "Legal Advisor of ESIC" unless specifically authorized.
• Timely appearance in court and reporting of proceedings with orders is mandatory.
• Refusal to take up a matter without proper justification may lead to de-empanelment.
• Performance of empanelled advocates will be periodically reviewed.
• ESIC reserves the right to modify terms, verify information, and reject any application without assigning reasons.
