Eligibility Criteria for Empanelment

Candidates applying for empanelment as Advocates must meet the following criteria as on 01.07.2026:
  • Educational Qualification: Applicants must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Law from a recognized University in India.
  • Bar Council Registration: Candidates must be enrolled/registered as an advocate with the Bar Council of India or a State Bar Council.
  • Experience Requirements:
    • High Court: Minimum 10 years of professional/court practice experience in High Court(s).
    • EI Court: Minimum 5 years of professional/court practice experience in various Courts/Tribunals.
    • CAT and Various Other Courts/Tribunals: Minimum 10 years of professional/court practice experience in High Court, CAT, and various other Courts/Tribunals.
    • MM Court: Minimum 5 years of professional/court practice experience in various Courts/Tribunals.
  • The Regional Director, RO-Maharashtra, reserves the right to relax experience or prescribe additional qualifications/conditions as deemed fit.
