Eligibility Criteria and Qualifications

To be eligible for the Associate (Trade) position, applicants must meet specific educational and experience requirements.

Remuneration and Pay Scale

The selected Associate (Trade) will receive an attractive monthly remuneration package.

This remuneration is inclusive of all applicable taxes, and no other facilities or allowances will be provided.

Selection Process

The selection process for the Associate (Trade) position will involve shortlisting followed by an interview.

1. Application Shortlisting: Candidates will be initially shortlisted based on their submitted applications, qualifications, and relevant experience.
2. Interview: Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted via email for an interview.

Terms of Engagement

The engagement for the Associate (Trade) position will be purely on a contractual basis, initially for a period of one year, which includes a three-week probation period. The contract may be extended annually based on performance evaluation, but no further extensions will be permissible after a total tenure of three years.

Working Hours and Leave

Normal working hours are from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM during working days, including a half-hour lunch break. However, due to work exigencies, the Associate (Trade) may be required to work late or attend office on Saturdays, Sundays, and other holidays. Associates are eligible for 20 days of leave per year on a pro-rata basis, subject to prior approval. Unavailed leave cannot be carried forward. Female Associates may also be eligible for maternity leave as per the Maternity Benefit (Amendment) Act, 2017.

Travel Allowance (TA/DA)

The Associate (Trade) may be required to travel across India. TA/DA will be admissible as per the rates applicable to officials at Pay Level 10 of the Central Government.

Termination of Engagement

The engagement can be terminated by the Department with 30 days' notice or "pay in lieu" thereof. Similarly, the Associate (Trade) can resign by providing a similar notice period. APEDA reserves the right to terminate the engagement at any stage for serious failure to perform assigned tasks or maintain standards of conduct.

General Terms and Conditions

Applicants should be aware of the following general conditions:

• Associates are expected to maintain high moral character, integrity, and dedication to work. Services found unsatisfactory or in conflict with APEDA's interests will be terminated without notice or compensation.
• Associates must not seek or accept instructions from external authorities regarding their obligations under the contract.
• Compliance with the "Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013" is mandatory.
• In case of death, injury, or illness during service, the Associate or next of kin will not be entitled to any compensation or appointment.
• A police verification report and a medical-cum-fitness certificate from an authorized Medical Practitioner are required before engagement.
• This contractual engagement does not confer any claim or right for subsequent employment with APEDA or any other Government Department.
