AIIMS Raipur Senior Resident Recruitment 2026: Overview

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Raipur has released a recruitment notification for 121 Senior Resident (Non-Academic) positions under the Government of India Residency Scheme. This is a significant opportunity for medical postgraduates to join an apex healthcare institute established under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY). Eligibility Criteria and Educational Qualifications

To be eligible for the Senior Resident positions at AIIMS Raipur, candidates must meet the following educational requirements:

• For most disciplines: A Postgraduate Medical Degree such as MD, MS, DNB, or a Diploma in the respective discipline from a recognized University or Institute.
• For School of Public Health: A Postgraduate Medical Degree (MD/DNB) in Community Medicine/PSM from a recognized University or Institute.
• For Dentistry: A Postgraduate Degree (MDS) in the concerned specialty.

Only candidates who have successfully completed their qualifying degree exam and will complete their tenure on or before 31 August 2026 are eligible to apply.

Age Limit and Relaxation

The upper age limit for applicants is 45 years as of the last date of application. Age relaxations are applicable for reserved categories as per Government of India rules:

• SC/ST candidates: 5 years relaxation
• OBC candidates: 3 years relaxation
• Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) - General: 10 years relaxation
• PwBD (OBC): 13 years relaxation
• PwBD (SC/ST): 15 years relaxation
• Ex-servicemen and Commissioned Officers: 5 years relaxation, subject to continuous service conditions.

Selection Process

The selection process for AIIMS Raipur Senior Resident positions primarily involves:

1. Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on their bio-data, educational qualifications, and experience. In case of a large number of applications, a written examination may be conducted for shortlisting.
2. Interview: Final selection will be made based on the candidate's performance in the interview.

The decision of the Executive Director & CEO, AIIMS Raipur, will be final in this regard. Candidates currently in government service must submit a "No Objection Certificate" (NOC) at the time of the interview.
