The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the result for the Combined Geo-Scientist (Main) Examination 2026, held from June 20th to 21st, 2026. This press note announces the roll numbers of candidates who have provisionally qualified for the Interview/Personality Test, marking a crucial step in the selection process for various Geo-Scientist posts.

Qualified Candidates for Interview

Candidates with the roll numbers listed in the official press note have been provisionally qualified for the Interview/Personality Test. The lists are categorized by service:

• Geologist Group A
• Scientist B (Hydrogeology)/Assistant Hydrogeologist
• Geophysicist/Scientist B (Geophysics)/Assistant Geophysicist
• Chemist/Scientist B (Chemical)/Assistant Chemist

Candidates are advised to check their respective service lists carefully.

Important Instructions for Qualified Candidates

The candidature of all qualified candidates is provisional, subject to verification of their eligibility in all respects. Candidates must be prepared to produce original certificates during the Personality Test to support their claims regarding age, educational qualifications, community, physical disability, and EWS status. A window will be opened on https://upsconline.nic.in for candidates to update their educational qualification status, especially if they did not possess the prescribed qualification at the time of online application. Failure to update details and upload proof of passing the requisite qualifying examination will lead to cancellation of candidature.

Document Verification

All qualified candidates are strongly advised to carefully read the Rules of the Combined Geo-Scientist Examination-2026, published in the Gazette of India on 03.09.2025, concerning the certificates required at the time of the Interview. Candidates are solely responsible for producing sufficient valid proof for their age, date of birth, educational qualifications, caste (SC/ST/OBC), EWS, and physical disability status. All original certificates must be brought for verification during the Interview/Personality Test.

Interview Schedule

The detailed schedule for the Interview/Personality Test will be published on the Commission's official website in due course. Exact interview dates will also be intimated to candidates via email. No requests for changes in the date and time of the Personality Test will be entertained under any circumstances.

Mark-sheets Information

The mark-sheets of candidates will be made available on the Commission's Website within 15 days from the date of publication of the final result (after conducting the Personality Test). These mark-sheets will remain accessible on the website for a period of 30 days. Candidates can access their mark-sheets by entering their Roll Numbers and date of birth. Printed or hard copies of mark-sheets can be obtained from UPSC upon specific request, accompanied by a self-addressed stamped envelope, within thirty days of the marks being displayed online.
