The National Institute of Technology Warangal has released a notification for the recruitment of one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under an ANRF Sponsored Research Project. This project focuses on developing time-resolved fluorescence snapshot techniques to monitor photosynthetic light harvesting for enhancing crop productivity. This is a temporary position offering an excellent opportunity for qualified candidates to pursue research and potentially register for a Ph.D. degree at NIT Warangal.

Eligibility Criteria and Educational Qualifications

Candidates applying for the JRF position must meet specific academic requirements. The primary qualification is an M.Sc., MS, Integrated M.Sc., or BS-MS degree in Chemistry or an equivalent field. Applicants from the GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC-NCL categories need a minimum of 60% aggregate marks or 6.5 CGPA, while SC/ST/PwD candidates require at least 55% aggregate marks or 6.0 CGPA at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Preference will be given to candidates who have qualified in national-level examinations such as CSIR-UGC NET, GATE, or any other National Eligibility Test. Desirable skills include a strong background in spectroscopy, photophysics, optics, or laser-based techniques, along with hands-on experience in steady-state or time-resolved fluorescence spectroscopy. Knowledge of laser optics, optical alignment, and instrumentation development is also highly valued. Proficiency in data analysis software like Origin, MATLAB, Python, or LabVIEW, coupled with good communication skills, is an added advantage.

The age limit for candidates is calculated as of the commencement date of the notification.

Salary and Emoluments

The selected Junior Research Fellow will receive a monthly stipend.

	Rs. 42,000/- per month for the third year

Additionally, HRA will be provided as per government rules. Selected candidates are also eligible for on-campus hostel and mess facilities, subject to availability.

Selection Process

The selection process for the Junior Research Fellow position involves two main stages:

2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview. This interview can be conducted either online or offline. Candidates attending online interviews are expected to have a stable internet connection and camera facility. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
