Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for the Special Primary Teacher positions must meet the following conditions:
- Citizenship: The candidate must be a citizen of India.
- Language Proficiency: Must be able to speak Manipuri or any of the Tribal dialects of Manipur.

- OR 10+2 (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks from a recognized University/Institution/Board, in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2002.
- Special Education Diploma:
- D.Ed. in Special Education from an RCI approved Institute and possess a valid RCI CRR number.
- OR D.El.Ed. with recognized qualification (Certificate/Diploma RCI marks effort to design and conduct such training programme through its approved institution for in service/pre-service general teachers from an RCI approved institution equivalent to D.Ed. in Special Education and possess a valid RCI CRR number.
- Cross-Disability Training:
- 6 months training of teaching in cross-disability area in inclusive education. If this program is not available, the requirement may be dropped, but recruited candidates with D.Ed Special Education or equivalent qualifications must compulsorily undergo this training once it becomes available.
- Teacher Eligibility Test (TET):
- Passed the Teacher Eligibility Test-1 (TET-1) conducted by the State Government or any other agency approved by NCTE.
Age Limit and Relaxation

Selection Process
The selection process for the Special Primary Teacher posts will primarily involve a Computer Based Test (CBT).
