Eligibility Criteria and Educational Qualifications

• Principal: Post Graduate degree (MA/M.Sc in relevant subjects) with 4 years of teaching experience in Class 9-12 or as a trained graduate headmaster.
• PGT (Hindi, English, Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science): Post Graduate degree in the respective subject. Most PGT posts require a 'Trained' qualification (e.g., B.Ed/LT Diploma).
• Lab Assistant: 12th Pass in Science stream with a Diploma in Laboratory Techniques or simply 12th Pass in Science stream.
• Office Superintendent / Clerk: 12th Pass with Computer Science as a subject or a CCC certificate, along with Hindi (25 WPM) and English (30 WPM) typing speed.
• Care Taker: Post Graduate degree and B.Ed (as per amendment).
• Peon, Chowkidar, Cook (Class 9-12): 8th Pass.
• Full-time Teacher (Class 6-8): Trained Graduate with TET (Upper Primary Level) and B.Ed/LT or equivalent in Hindi/Sanskrit, English, or Social Studies.
• Part-time Teacher (Computer) (Class 6-8): Trained Graduate with B.Ed/LT or equivalent, plus PGDCA/BCA/B.Sc Computer Science or a Graduate degree with "O" Level / "A" Level Diploma.
• Part-time Teacher (Physical Education) (Class 6-8): BP.Ed, CP.Ed, DP.Ed etc. TET is not compulsory for this post.
• Accountant (Class 6-8): Graduate in Commerce with mandatory MS Office knowledge. Preference will be given to "O" Level Diploma holders.
• Head Cook, Assistant Cook, Peon, Chowkidar (Class 6-8): 8th Pass.

Age Limit and Relaxation

• For the Principal post, candidates must be between 30 and 45 years of age.
• For all other posts, the age limit is 25 to 45 years.
• Candidates already serving in KGBVs may be eligible for an age limit of up to 60 years.
• Age relaxation will be provided as per the rules of the State Government.

Selection Process

• The recruitment advertisement will be published in at least two newspapers (one national, one state/district level) and on the district website.
• A merit list will be prepared post-wise, subject-wise, and category-wise.
• Weightage will be given to marks obtained in High School, Intermediate, Graduate, Post Graduate, and Training (B.Ed/LT etc.) examinations.
• For Cook, Assistant Cook, Peon, and Chowkidar posts, selection will be based on an interview (50 marks) assessing physical ability, cooking knowledge, and experience.
• In case of a tie in quality marks, the older candidate will be preferred. If age is also equal, alphabetical order of names will be used.
• A counselling committee, including a psychologist, will oversee the selection.
• A waiting list, valid for one year, will also be prepared.
• Final selection and school allotment will be subject to approval from the District Magistrate.
