Eligibility Criteria and Educational Qualifications

• Candidates must possess a Medical Qualification that is included in Schedule – I & II of the 3rd Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act 1956.
• Satisfactory completion of a compulsory internship is mandatory.
• Applicants must be registered with either the Central or a State Medical Council.
• Candidates who have already completed a one-year tenure as a Junior Resident (house job) in any State or Central Government, PSU, or Autonomous body are not eligible to apply for these positions.

Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) Criteria

• Blindness and low vision.
• Deaf and hard of hearing.
• Locomotor disability, including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims, and muscular dystrophy.
• Autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability, and mental illness.
• Multiple disabilities from among the above categories, including deaf-blindness.

Age Limit and Relaxation

• SC/ST candidates will receive a relaxation of up to 5 years.
• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates will receive a relaxation of up to 3 years.
• Physically Handicapped candidates will also be granted age relaxation as per government rules.

Selection Process

1. Application Screening: All submitted applications and supporting documents will be thoroughly screened to ensure candidates meet the eligibility criteria.
2. Interview: Only candidates who fulfill all eligibility requirements will be invited to appear for an interview. The date of the interview will be announced later on the Institute's official website.
3. Document Verification: Candidates must bring all original documents for verification at the time of the interview.

1. Download the prescribed application proforma (Annexure-I), which is expected to be available on the official NEIGRIHMS website.
2. Fill out the application form accurately and completely.
3. Prepare scanned copies of all required self-attested certificates.
4. Email the completed application proforma along with the scanned self-attested certificates to neigrihms.recruitment@gmail.com.
5. Ensure that the application is submitted by the deadline of 18 August 2026, by 5:30 p.m.

Documents Required for Application Submission

• Two recent passport-size photographs.
• Certificate of Date of Birth (10th standard certificate).
• EWS/SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) certificate, if applicable, issued by a competent authority.
• MBBS Passed Certificate.
• MBBS Marksheets.
• MBBS Attempt Certificate.
• MBBS Internship Completion Certificate.
• Medical Registration Certificate for MBBS.
• No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the present employer, if currently employed.
• MCI/NMC Eligibility Certificate for candidates who passed from foreign medical institutions.
• Result of the screening test for Indian nationals with Foreign Medical Qualifications, issued by the National Board of Examinations.

Important Instructions for Candidates

• Candidates belonging to the OBC (NCL) category must produce the latest OBC (NCL) certificate issued by the Competent Authority during the current financial year (1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027).
• EWS candidates must attach a certificate issued by the competent authority in the prescribed format (Annexure-II).
• If employed in State/Central Government or PSU/Autonomous bodies, a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the competent authority is mandatory. Failure to produce NOC will lead to disqualification from the interview.
• Canvassing in any form will result in disqualification.
• Candidates sponsored by the Government of Meghalaya for the MBBS programme must produce an NOC from the Government of Meghalaya before joining, if selected.
• Candidates sponsored by respective state governments for MBBS who are required to undergo compulsory rural posting must submit a certificate of completion of rural posting.
• Subject to availability, Resident Doctors may be provided accommodation in the RMO Hostel. If accommodation is not available, HRA will be paid as per rules.
• The Institute reserves the right to reject or accept any candidature without assigning any reason.
• The decision of the Institute regarding a candidate's eligibility will be final.
