GSSSB Horticulture Assistant Selection Process

1. Competitive Examination (CBRT/OMR): This objective-type (MCQ) test will be conducted either as a Computer Based Response Test (CBRT) or an OMR-based examination. It consists of two parts:
   • Part-A (90 marks, 90 questions): Covers Reasoning & Data Interpretation, Quantitative Aptitude, and Constitution of India, Current Affairs, and Gujarati & English Comprehension.
   • Part-B (120 marks, 120 questions): Focuses on subject-specific questions related to Horticulture, including Fruit Science, Vegetable Science, Floriculture & Landscape Architecture, Post-Harvest Technology, Natural Resource Management, Plant Protection, Basic Science, Social Science, and current trends.
   The total duration for both parts is 3 hours (180 minutes). A negative marking of 1/4th of the marks allotted per question applies for each incorrect answer.
2. Minimum Qualifying Standards: Candidates must achieve a minimum of 40% marks in both Part-A and Part-B independently to qualify.
