Selection Process Overview

1. Written Examination: This will be the first stage for both posts, comprising 50 multiple-choice questions for 100 marks. The exam will cover Hindi, English, Computer Knowledge, General Knowledge, and Chhattisgarhi/Local Language. There will be no negative marking.
2. Skill Test (for Assistant Grade-3): Candidates will be shortlisted in a 1:15 ratio based on their written exam marks. This test will assess Hindi and English typing skills on Ubuntu Linux. Hindi typing will involve 250 words in 10 minutes for 50 marks, and English typing will involve 300 words in 10 minutes for 50 marks. One-fifth (1/5) of a mark will be deducted for each error.
3. Aptitude Test (for Peon): Candidates for the Peon post will be shortlisted in a 1:5 ratio based on their written exam marks. This test will be for 50 marks and will assess the candidate's suitability for the role.

How to Apply

1. Download the application form from the official website: https://surguja.dcourts.gov.in.
2. Fill out the application form completely and accurately using a blue ballpoint pen. Incomplete forms or forms with overwriting will be rejected.
3. Affix a recent self-attested passport-size colored photograph on the application form.
4. Attach self-attested photocopies of all necessary documents, including:
   • Date of Birth certificate (High School/Higher Secondary Marksheet)
   • Educational Qualification certificates
   • Caste Certificate (for reserved categories, issued by competent authority, non-creamy layer certificate for OBC within last 3 years)
   • Permanent Domicile Certificate of Chhattisgarh
   • Live Registration Certificate from Employment Exchange (exempt for government employees)
   • Disability Certificate (if applicable, issued by District Medical Board)
   • No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the employer (if currently employed in government/semi-government service).
5. Place the filled application form and attached documents in a sealed envelope. Clearly superscribe the envelope with "Application for the post of Assistant Grade-3 / Peon" (as applicable).
6. Submit the sealed envelope directly into the drop box kept at the office of the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Surguja (Ambikapur), Chhattisgarh.
7. Applications sent via Registered Post, Speed Post, Courier, Email, or Fax will not be accepted.
8. Applications received after the last date and time (13 August 2026, 05:00 PM) will not be considered.
9. Candidates applying for more than one post must submit separate application forms in separate envelopes for each post.
