UPSC IES/ISS Written Exam Result 2026 Declared

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially released the results for the written part of the Indian Economic Service/Indian Statistical Service (IES/ISS) Examination 2026. This press note, dated August 4, 2026, announces the roll numbers of 40 candidates who have successfully qualified for the next stage: the Personality Test/Interview.

Key Dates for IES/ISS 2026 Qualified Candidates

Candidates who have qualified for the Personality Test should note the following important dates:

Mandatory Document Submission and Details Update

All candidates who have qualified for the Personality Test/Interview are required to mandatorily log in to the official UPSC online portal at https://upsconline.nic.in. This window will be open for 15 days following the result declaration, from August 4, 2026, to August 18, 2026.

During this period, candidates must update their personal details, educational qualification status (whether appearing/appeared), and upload relevant documents as proof of their claims. Failure to complete this step will result in candidates not being allowed to participate in further stages of the examination, and no correspondence will be entertained by the Commission.

Provisional Candidature and Document Verification

The candidature of all listed candidates is strictly provisional. Their eligibility is subject to verification of all claims made in their application. Candidates must be prepared to produce original certificates in support of their age, date of birth, educational qualifications, community (SC/ST/OBC/EWS), and benchmark disability (if applicable) at the time of the Personality Test. It is crucial to keep all required documents ready and to check the specific requirements on the Commission's website beforehand.

Any candidate failing to present the required original documents will not be permitted to appear before the Personality Test Board, and no Travelling Allowance (TA) will be provided.

Personality Test/Interview Schedule and E-Summon Letter

The detailed schedule for the Personality Test (Interview) will be uploaded on the Commission's website in due course. The exact date and time of the interview will be communicated to candidates through an e-Summon Letter, which can be generated after successfully updating details and submitting the Online Application Form on the portal. No requests for changes to the intimated date and time of the Personality Test will ordinarily be entertained.

Accessing Mark-Sheets

The mark-sheets for candidates will be uploaded on the UPSC website after the publication of the final result (i.e., after the Personality Test has been conducted). These mark-sheets will remain accessible on the website for a period of 30 days. Candidates can access their mark-sheets by entering their Roll Numbers and date of birth. Printed/hard copies can be obtained upon specific request, accompanied by a self-addressed stamped envelope, within 30 days of the mark-sheets being displayed online.
