The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has announced the revised selection list for the Gynaecology Specialist posts, marking a significant update for candidates. This revised selection list supersedes a previous one published on December 29, 2025, following a review of various court orders and additional interviews. The selection process was conducted for positions within the Public Health and Medical Education Department of the Government of Madhya Pradesh.

Overview of the Recruitment

The original advertisement, bearing number 06/2024 and dated July 24, 2024, invited applications for a total of 224 Gynaecology Specialist posts. These included reservations for various categories such as Unreserved, SC, ST, OBC, and EWS, along with specific quotas for women and contractual employees. Additionally, posts were reserved for persons with disabilities (Orthopedically Handicapped, Visually Impaired, Hearing Impaired, and Multiple Disabilities). Interviews for eligible candidates were initially held from October 28, 2025, to October 30, 2025.

Revised Selection List Details

In compliance with directives from the General Administration Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh, and a corrigendum (No. 03/06/2024 dated March 27, 2025), the selection results are being declared for 87% of the main part of the vacancies. The document specifies that there were no eligible candidates for the 13% provisional part, thus eliminating the need for a separate provisional list. This revised list has been published based on the merit order of marks obtained in the interviews, including those from additional interviews conducted on June 05, 2026, as per High Court orders.

Vacancy Breakdown (87% Main Part)

For the 87% main part, a total of 202 posts were advertised. However, 82 posts remained vacant due to the unavailability of sufficient eligible candidates across various categories (SC-18, ST-34, EWS-30). Additionally, 12 posts reserved for persons with disabilities also remained vacant (OH-03, HI-03, VI-03, Multiple Disabilities-03). In accordance with government guidelines, 8 posts reserved for persons with disabilities have been kept vacant against the unreserved open category.

Selected Candidates

This revised selection list includes a total of 128 candidates. The main list contains 112 names, while a supplementary list features 16 candidates. The selection is strictly based on merit in the interview, without any relaxations for candidates selected in the open category from reserved categories, as per government circulars.

Important Instructions and Clarifications

• The selection outcome is subject to the final decision in various pending Special Leave Petitions (SLP No. 8764/2023, SLP No. 12398/2023) and High Court petitions (W.P. No. 5901/2019, W.P. No. 5596/2024, and other similar cases).
• In cases where an insufficient number of female candidates were available, reserved posts for women have been filled by male candidates from the respective categories, as per government policy.
• The Commission reserves the right to correct any computer or clerical errors that may come to its notice after the publication of the selection results.
