The Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IIT Hyderabad) has announced a recruitment drive for a Post-doctoral Research Fellow (PDF) position. This fellowship is based in the Regenerative Medicine & Stem Cell (RMS) Lab within the Department of Biomedical Engineering. The selected candidate will work on a critical project titled "Autologous islet transplantation in pancreas resection patients with clinical validation: Role of immunoisolation devices for islet survival." This inter-disciplinary project is sponsored by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and involves collaboration with Osmania Medical College and Hospital. The research aims to develop and validate a patented macroencapsulation device for immune-protected islet transplantation.

Eligibility Criteria and Qualifications

Candidates interested in the Post-doctoral Research Fellow position must meet the following educational and experience requirements:

Post-doctoral Research Fellow (PDF)	PhD/Masters in Biomedical Engineering, Life sciences, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent Biosciences degrees with 60% marks or equivalent CGPA.	One year post-PhD research work experience with demonstrable skills in liver/pancreas research, organoid, or primary cell culture. Knowledge of primary stem cell isolation AND transcriptomics or molecular biology AND 3D spheroid/organoid culture. Publication with first author in high-IF journals will be an added advantage.

Age Limit

Applicants for the Post-doctoral Research Fellow position should not be more than 38 years of age.

Salary Structure

The selected Post-doctoral Research Fellow will receive an attractive monthly stipend:

The fellowship duration is initially for one year, extendable based on work progress and grant sanction.

Selection Process

The selection process for the Post-doctoral Research Fellow position at IIT Hyderabad will involve two main stages:
