About the Recruitment

The Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) has officially declared the final results for the Combined Competitive Examination (Main) for Deputy Section Officer, Class-III and Deputy Mamlatdar, Class-III posts, advertised under No. APE-08/2025-26. The GPSC Deputy Section Officer & Deputy Mamlatdar Result 2026 is based on the main examination conducted from 20th to 22nd February 2026.

Post-wise and Category-wise Selection Details

The notification declares the final result for the posts of Deputy Section Officer, Class-III and Deputy Mamlatdar, Class-III. A total of 102 candidates have been successfully recommended for appointment, as listed in Annexure-I (Part-I). This includes 39 women candidates selected against a requirement of 35, and 36 meritorious reserved category (MRC) candidates recommended for unreserved posts.

Selection Process

The selection process for the Deputy Section Officer, Class-III and Deputy Mamlatdar, Class-III Combined Competitive Examination (Main) involved the following stages:

1. Main Examination (Written) — Merit was determined based on the aggregate marks obtained by candidates in the main examination, which had a total of 400 marks for the written papers.
2. Merit List Preparation — The result was prepared in accordance with the Deputy Section Officer, Class-III and Deputy Mamlatdar, Class-III Combined Competitive Examination Rules, 2018, and subsequent amendments.
3. Special Provisions — Consideration was given to various judgments of the Hon'ble Supreme Court and G.A.D. circulars regarding meritorious reserved category (MRC) candidates, women's reservation, and persons with disability.
4. Bonus Marks — Bonus marks (5% of obtained marks) were added for eligible widow candidates and candidates with sports qualifications as per government resolutions.
5. Eligibility for Selection — Candidates who failed to attend the main examination or any of its papers were not eligible for selection.

Result Details

The merit list is arranged in descending order of total marks obtained by the candidates. In cases where candidates had equal marks, preference was given to the elder candidate based on their date of birth. The evaluation of Paper-1 (Gujarati Language) and Paper-2 (English Language) was carried out using a marking scheme of 1.000 mark for each correct answer and a deduction of 0.300 mark for wrong, multiple encoded, or blank answers.
