The Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) has officially released the Class 1 & 2 Prelims Result 2026-27, declaring candidates provisionally qualified for the Main Written Examination. A total of 6,099 candidates have successfully cleared the Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Exam, which was conducted on 07 June 2026. This examination covered various prestigious posts including Gujarat Administrative Service, Class-1, Gujarat Civil Service, Class 1 & 2, Gujarat State Municipal Chief Officers' Service, Class-2, and a Special Recruitment Drive for Persons with Disability (Divyang candidates).

Important Notes on Preliminary Exam Evaluation

The Commission has provided several important notes regarding the evaluation process for the preliminary examination:

  • The preliminary examination for multiple advertisements (Advt. No. 3,4,5,6/2026-27) for the General Studies paper was conducted under a common advertisement (Advt. No. 9994/2026-27) on 07 June 2026. Marks from this common General Studies paper were considered for all relevant advertisements.
  • Cut-off marks represent the score obtained by the last candidate in the merit list for each respective category, arranged in descending order of total marks.
  • Eleven questions from the General Studies Paper were cancelled as per the Final Answer Key. The marks for these cancelled questions were distributed on a pro-rata basis among the remaining 189 questions. Consequently, each correct answer was awarded 1.058 marks, while incorrect, multiple-encoded, or blank answers incurred a penalty of (-)0.317 marks.
  • For Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates, the selection process adhered to the provisions outlined in GAD Resolution NO-CRR-102017-122639-G-2, dated 20 November 2024, and GPSC Office Orders dated 04 July 2025 and 20 September 2025.
  • Widow candidates received bonus marks, calculated as 5% of their obtained marks, in accordance with circular No. CRR-1096-2213-G.2, dated 31 August 2004, from the General Administration Department.
