Eligibility Criteria for CLW Sports Quota 2026

Candidates applying for the CLW Sports Quota must be Indian Nationals and active sportspersons who have achieved the minimum sports norms on or after April 1, 2024.

Educational Qualifications

The required educational qualifications vary by pay level and must be met as of the application closing date.

Minimum Sports Norms

Applicants must meet specific sports achievement criteria based on the pay level they are applying for. Achievements are considered from April 1, 2024, onwards.

Age Limit

Candidates must be between 18 and 25 years old as of January 1, 2026. There is no provision for age relaxation for any category, including SC, ST, OBC, or PwBD candidates.

CLW Sports Quota Application Fee 2026

The application fee varies by candidate category and must be paid via Indian Postal Order (IPO) or Bank Demand Draft (DD).

CLW Sports Quota Selection Process

The selection for CLW Sports Quota posts is based on a merit-based evaluation comprising Sports Trials, assessment of Sports Achievements, and Educational Qualification. There are no reservations or relaxations for any community.

1. Sports Trial — Candidates must achieve a minimum of 25 marks out of 40 to be declared "FIT."
2. Assessment of Sports Achievements — Maximum 50 marks will be awarded based on the candidate's sports performance and certificates from April 1, 2024, onwards.
3. Educational Qualification — Up to 10 marks are allocated for academic qualifications.

The minimum aggregate marks required for selection are 70 for Level-5/4 posts, 65 for Level-2, and 60 for Level-1 posts, including the minimum marks in the Sports Trial. Shortlisted candidates will be informed about the venue and date of the Trials and Interview/Certificate Verification via the CLW official website, email, and mobile number.

How to Apply for CLW Sports Quota Recruitment 2026

The application process for the CLW Sports Quota Recruitment 2026 is strictly offline. Candidates must submit their applications by post or by dropping them in the designated Drop Box at CLW.

1. Download Application Form: Obtain the prescribed application format (Annexure 'A') and other relevant annexures from the official CLW website.
2. Fill Application: Complete the application form neatly in your own handwriting, using a blue or black ball-point pen, in English or Hindi. Ensure all columns are filled accurately.
3. Declaration: Write the sample declaration statement in your own handwriting in the specified space on the form. Applications missing this declaration will be rejected.
4. Photograph: Affix one recent color passport-size photograph (taken within one month, white background, no cap/colored glasses) to the form. Enclose two additional signed photographs and keep at least five more for future use.
